August 16 | 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Anahola Beach Park
Free Event | Drug & Alcohol Free

Join us in celebrating the ocean’s abundance and the rich cultural legacy of limu (seaweed) at the Koʻolau Limu Festival — a community event that honors the traditional limu gatherers of Anahola and uplifts the next generation of ocean stewards.

Hosted at Anahola Beach Park, this family-friendly festival is a vibrant gathering of culture, education, and community. The day will be filled with:

  • Conservation & education booths

  • Live music & hula and Tahitian dance performances

  • Local food vendors & limu tasting

  • Family fun activities

  • Limu lei making & a special ceremony

  • Country store with island-style cuisine and goods

This is more than a celebration — it's a movement to protect and perpetuate the practices, values, and knowledge of limu and marine conservation rooted in Hawaiian culture.
