Join us in celebrating the ocean’s abundance and the rich cultural legacy of limu (seaweed) at the Koʻolau Limu Festival — a community event that honors the traditional limu gatherers of Anahola and uplifts the next generation of ocean stewards.

 

Hosted at Anahola Beach Park, this family-friendly festival is a vibrant gathering of culture, education, and community. The day will be filled with:

 

Conservation & education booths

Live music & hula and Tahitian dance performances

Local food vendors & limu tasting

Family fun activities

Limu lei making & a special ceremony

 

Country store with island-style cuisine and goods​This is more than a celebration — it's a movement to protect and perpetuate the practices, values, and knowledge of limu and marine conservation rooted in Hawaiian culture.​

Suicide Prevention Class

KKOA is proud to offer certified trainers proficient in the SafeTALK and Beacon of Light curriculum, strengthening our commitment to suicide prevention. We also provide training for those interested in becoming certified trainers themselves.
